AUTOBRAKE INFORMATION

AutoBrake is a simple program designed to automate the transcoding of video from DVD discs using a freely available program, 'HandBrake'.

* Automatically rip DVDs when inserted.
* Choose from preset quality & encoder options.
* Edit the preset options for your requirements.
* Keep track of the rip with the status window.

POSSIBLE ISSUES
---------------------

* The rip will get to between 99.90% and 99.99% and will appear to stop.

If this happens, the rip has actually been completed, it's just that HandBrake doesn't report back correctly and AutoBrake has to guess when the rip is complete. This can be a bit hit and miss.

DO NOT click 'Cancel' and DO NOT exit AutoBrake, this will delete the video file. Simply eject the DVD from the drive. AutoBrake will say that the rip failed, which is not the case. The video file will actually be complete and ready for watching.

* UAC on Windows Vista stops AutoBrake from working.

Although AutoBrake is not designed to be run under Windows Vista, it is possible to do so. If you have UAC enabled please run AutoBrake as an administrator or disable UAC.
